The holiday season has arrived and with it comes the joy of hosting those you love. As we eagerly anticipate our own holiday plans, we’ve compiled a few tips to help take the guesswork out of the season.

  1. How’s the Seating Arrangement?

If you’re hosting the dinner parties this year, one of the first things to assess is your seating arrangement. Do you have enough seating options to comfortably accommodate your guests? Consider the flow of your furniture—is it arranged to encourage conversation and interaction? Creating cozy nooks also ensures your guests have somewhere to slip away to when they’re all partied out.

Assess the size of your dining table: will it be able to accommodate all your guests comfortably? If you have limited space, consider alternative seating options such as benches; these can be easily tucked away when not in use, freeing up valuable space in your dining area.

  1. Guest Room Prep: Home away from home

Welcoming your loved ones who are traveling to see you can be both exciting and, let’s be honest, exhausting. To make their stay as comfortable as possible, transform your guest room into a cozy sanctuary, treating it as if it were your own. A few thoughtful touches, such as leaving out slippers, robes, and fresh flowers, can go a long way in providing a welcoming experience. But don’t forget to take care of yourself too! Prepping your own room is just as crucial, it should be your retreat at the end of a long day of celebrations.

  1. Mix Glassware for a Toast-worthy Affair

Elevate your holiday table by mixing and matching glassware. Break out the fine china or grandma’s crystals—it’s a celebratory time, and these special pieces are meant for just that!

Our team at TruDesign hopes that every moment spent with loved ones is filled with warmth, laughter, and the magic of the season.

Cheers, Friend.
